2013 Hall of Fame induction

Victorian Hall of Fame dinner

The Melbourne Press Club inducted its second round of media legends at a 2013 Hall of Fame dinner in the State Library Victoria in October 2013.

The 2013 induction covered figures who made their mark in the Victorian media industry before 1970. The 2013 list includes journalists who worked in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, as radio and television emerged alongside newspapers as prime sources of news and current affairs.  It included the first living Hall-of-Famers.

All were considered to have made an outstanding contribution to their craft and impacted the development of media in Victoria, Australia and sometimes beyond.

The Victorian Media Hall of Fame ran for three years before expanding into a national project that recognises excellence in media around Australia.
